Street fair season is back! In New York, every warm-weather weekend brings multiple street fairs and with them come chances to sample great food, find bargains, and even get chair massages. The Amazon Comes Alive in NYC
South Street Seaport; Pier 17 North Side This spring and summer, New York City will be transformed into the rich sights, sounds and culture of the Brazilian Amazon. Visitors can tour a 13,000 square foot live exhibit of the rainforest. Other events include a fashion exhibit at the World Financial Center and photos & videos at the Smithsonian. This is a must see experience for the whole family! The exhibition will be open from Wednesdays through Sundays, from 10am to 7pm.

Union Square: Crossroads of New York walking tour
Every Saturday at 2pm The Union Square Partnership has teamed with Big Onion Walking Tours to create a free 90-minute walking tour called Union Square: Crossroads of New York. The tour explores the social and political history of the Union Square neighborhood through discussions of the people, history, architecture, and forces that have shaped this community. You'll hear how Union Square got its name, see where the legendary Tiffany & Co. once stood, and learn how to read the clock (yes, it's a clock!) on "The Metronome" sculpture and so much more! The walking tour begins at the Abraham Lincoln statue by the 16th Street transverse in Union Square Park. Look for the guide holding a Union Square: Crossroads of New York sign.
